Individual Therapy

Working one on one to reach identified treatment goals


People can struggle with anything from things related to the work environment, navigating social and family relationships, and coming to terms with past experiences and associated emotions. Individual therapy provides a safe, confidential space to help people explore their feelings, work through life challenges, identify aspects of themselves and their lives that they wish to change, and set goals to help them work towards these changes. Change arises in a variety of ways and therapy is designed to discover the unique needs of each individual. Therapy is a judgment free zone that is client centered and client led. Results from therapy are dependent upon the active engagement from the individual and change is measured from clearly established goals and hopes for therapy. We owe it to ourselves to work on ourselves and learn to love all the various parts of ourselves.

Family Therapy

Helping families communicate better, solve problems and find new ways to work together

Families go through various life cycle stages and along with that come various transitions which require emotional processing. Some families have difficulties in navigating these various stages and could benefit from support to ensure these changes are navigated in a way that each family member is accepting and understanding. The focus of family therapy is to have a safe space where each member can share their thoughts, feelings and concerns, be heard and come out as a stronger family unit as a result. Family therapy is collaborative work done with proactive engagement from the family unit (identified parties) who identify areas in which they need support and work towards reaching mutually identified treatment goals. Play Therapy

Focus on children’s natural ability to express their feelings and resolve conflict through play

Play is a fundamental component to our lives. Play expands self-expression and helps us connect to others in a way that is natural and is something we are all capable of. Play therapy uses a variety of techniques to help youth better understand their world view and how they respond to difficult interactions across social, family and community relationships. There is an abundance of research that supports the efficacy of play therapy and the tremendous positive impact it has for those who choose to engage and benefit from this theoretical perspective. This is a very structured yet flexible approach and helps provide context to otherwise nonverbal feelings and experiences. Positive emotional and social expressions are some of the benefits play therapy has to offer.
